Can anyone recommend any gd prog's for scanning pc for problems?

My internet has been a bit inconsistent the last few days and something doesnt seem right to me but i cant figure out what it is. Might just be my router dying on me but i want to rule out virus's trojans etc 1st....

So far Spybot S+D, Malwarebytes, and AVG havent found any problems...... Looking in processes doesnt really help as im not sure what should be there and what shouldnt and when i google a process it seems they can all be virus' or legit LOL.. Any gd progs for noobs out there?? or gd sites with tech advice u can recommend?!
Cheers

Microsoft security essentials? It's pretty damn good for a free bit of kit.

I don't even use anti virus lmao i just get rid of them myself =D

Take a screenshot of ur process list and post it on here from photobucket or something m8 i'm pretty familiar with windows processes.

Also if you can describe ur exact problems in as much detail as possible it would help also.

Also, try this when ur doing shit on ur pc -

1. Type cmd in the run menu (either Start > then Run for XP, or just type CMD into the search bar at the bottom of the start menu on Vista / 7)
2. In the black dos looking window type "ping -n 1000 bbc.co.uk"   - without the quotation marks. You can have maybe try a higher number to make it run longer, not sure how high it lets you go but thats the amount of times it'll ping it.
3. Use as normal, and check it for anomalies, spikes etc, if you are downloading then obviously it might spike if you are using more than 80% of your connection.

That'll give you an idea what your pings are.  Normal for me to BBC is 20-25, not sure what normal ADSL is tho.

Webroot windows washer is a good thing for sorting out internet browsers and what not.
Malwarebytes for any forms of Malware
S&D for obvious reasons
Comod Antivirus/Firewall for virus's.
Combofix (only as a last resort) If your comptuer is being a complete and utter cunt.
check out what process's are taking the most CPU and google them , if they're not required or you have NO clue at all what it is after a google.. end it.
Delete all your porn, we know you'll have STACKS.
If i can think of anymore i'll let you know.

That doesnt really work, googling most of the legit windows processes will try and tell you they are viruses since a lot of viruses try and use the same named files deliberately like svhost.
